Register or Reactivate your WCB Account

By law, most businesses who operate in a mandatory industry in Saskatchewan and hire workers on a regular, casual or contract basis are required to register within 30 days for a WCB account unless the industry is exempt.

Click on the following link Miscellaneous Regulations to determine if your industry is exempt. You may choose to have coverage voluntarily.

Registering with the WCB protects employers against lawsuits from workplace injuries and provides benefits to injured workers.

If you don't register and one of your workers is injured, you could be:

• Fined;
• Required to pay the total compensation costs of the injury; and
• Required to pay a minimum of three years in retroactive insurance premiums.
